I’ve been sewing with hemp canvas, twills and muslin for years. No matter if I make slipcovers, shades, pillows or bedding, I’m always very happy with the comfort and beauty of natural hemp textiles.

This week is Hemp History Week. There are a lot of exciting changes taking place in the U.S. with regards to making industrial hemp farming legal again. Right now the hemp fabrics I use to make slipcovers and other soft furnishings are mostly produced in China. I look forward to the day when hemp textile manufacturing returns home using American-grown hemp fiber.
