White Denim Slipcover Perfect for the Farmhouse

Life at Windmill FarmThere’s always something new and exciting going on at Windmill Farm in Gridley, CA. That’s where proprietors Paula and Frank grow, design, create, build and so much more. Talk about resourceful and talented — those two can do it all!

Pottery Barn Wingback Chair

I have a feeling Paula could also whip up a decent slipcover for her old Pottery Barn wingback chair. But I’m so glad she decided to have me make it instead.

This project was a slipcover copy. Paula sent me her old red cover to take apart and use as a template. She wanted a slightly looser fit to go with her other shabby-chic slipcovered furniture.

I increased the overall fit of the new slipcover by about 1/4″ and made it in 12 oz. white bull denim from Big Duck Canvas. See the finished piece above. Paula says it’s “perfect, perfect, perfect!”

Be sure to check out Paula’s Windmill Farm Blog. I’m a big fan! I think you’ll enjoy following her farmstead renovation projects, seasonal harvests and all of the creative ideas she has for food and flower crafts.

I have a question. I am planning on having my sectional seat cushions repadded. I been advised the upholsterers would use medium/ firm foam as firm would be hard like a rock. Cushions are 6″ thick.. Do yo agree?
    Thx.
