Slipcover Fabric Alternative

When a high-end decorator fabric isn’t an option, consider an apparel fabric for your slipcover. That’s what we did for my customer, Pam, who needed 35 yards to cover her large sectional sofa.

We shopped the apparel fabric section at Field’s Fabrics and found a durable, and pretty, cotton twill for only $4 per yard in just the right color and weight….perfect for her family friendly sectional.

A medium-weight cotton twill, canvas or plain weave with a soft drape and tight weave (designed for pants and jackets) are good fabric alternatives for most casual slipcovers.
