Slipcovers made from U.S.A. Hemp Fabrics?

I’ve been sewing with hemp canvas, twills and muslin for years. No matter if I make slipcovers, shades, pillows or bedding, I’m always very happy with the comfort and beauty of natural hemp textiles. Read about my favorite hemp fabrics here.

This week is Hemp History Week. There are a lot of exciting changes taking place in the U.S. with regards to making industrial hemp farming legal again. Right now the hemp fabrics I use to make slipcovers and other soft furnishings are mostly produced in China. I look forward to the day when hemp textile manufacturing returns home using American-grown hemp fiber.

Thank you to all of the devoted individuals who are working hard to make this happen.
