Casual Canvas Slipcovers for Formal French Chairs

French Chair Before SlipcoverJane is moving her pair of French chairs from storage to her lake house. They will be used in a more casual setting this time around so first things first, a pit stop at my workroom for a slipcover makeover.

I used a cotton/poly canvas with low wrinkle.  I love how washed natural canvas (and denim) slipcovers instantly give furniture a relaxed look.

For the design, I created a soft tailored fit and kept the styling understated to show off the pretty detail on the exposed wood arms and legs.
