Chair Slipcover Accents Wood Detail
The scrolled arms and feet on this vintage chair were too pretty to cover up. So I came up with a slipcover design that shows off the exposed wood detail. Here’s what I did:
- Created a tapered arm opening with a few stitched down pleats — sort of like a little cuff.
- Boxed in lower arm and used welt cord to define the curved design on the sides.
- Kept hemline short and neat, just above the feet.
Fabric: washed Carr-Go Canvas, color white.
This is neat. You are always adding some new approach to your work. Inspirational to me.
Beautiful workmanship!
