Linen Sofa Slipcover Makeover

A custom linen slipcover did wonders for Annette’s faded and outdated sleeper sofa.  What a transformation!

We used heavy weight, Home Furnishing Linen in oatmeal (an undyed, natural flax color) from Gray Line Linen.  It’s one of my favorite linen fabrics for causal slipcovers with a French Country look.  It has a such a lovely crumple and drape after washed. 

Update:  if you order this fabric look it over carefully before you cut it. The quality is inconsistent from order to order.

I detached the back cushions and boxed them.  An instant update!  I also raised the skirt a bit and made the front arm pieces flat.  It’s amazing how just a few small style changes can make an old sofa look brand new.
