Natural Canvas Slipcover for Ethan Allen Sofa
Inspired by a pretty interior, similar to her own living room, my customer envisioned her 15-year-old Ethan Allen sofa new again with a slipcover makeover.
She chose Carr-Go Canvas in color Natural, a medium weight sanded cotton canvas. I updated the skirt with a modified waterfall style and plumped up the cushions with a new Dacron wrap. Lovely!
Wow. Do u know anyone is Phoenix area
that does this?
Rachelle,
I don’t know of a slipcover maker in the Phoenix area. Try Slipcover America. They post a directory of slipcover makers across the nation. Or, try Before & After Slipcovers in Oregon. They make custom slipcovers via mail using your measurements and photos.

What did this cost her with fabric may I ask?
I love the white slipcover on your Ethan Allen sofa. I have a Ethan Allen sofa not as big as yours, I have rolled arms and 2 t cushions. I would like to know how many yards did you use and I am looking for white canvas to use where did you buy your fabric. I want canvas white
or twill maybe 10 once or maybe 12 once. I want topurchase this fabric and am having a difficult time finding who sells the most reasonable fabric. thanks
Shirley,
Check out my Fabrics page https://slipcovermaker.com/fabrics/ for a list of canvas, twill and denim slipcover fabrics, many of which you will find online.

I love how fresh and clean the slipcover looks. The color and modified waterfall style really add to the crisp, clean look!
Thanks Susann!
I have a similar Ethan Allen sofa that I would like to cover. My back pillows are attached. Is it still possible to make a slipcover?
Absolutely! You can detached the back cushions and slipcover them individually. It will give your sofa an instant update. https://slipcovermaker.com/2014/11/16/sleeper-sofa-slipcover-in-ticking-stripe/ and https://slipcovermaker.com/2015/02/02/traditional-chair-contemporary-slipcover/
You do beautiful work! Love the details! I just bought this exact Ethan Allen Traditional Classics sofa and was googling it to see what I could find and your site popped up! It’s badly in need of a slip-cover!!! Unfortunately I’m 4 hours away from you in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area. Thank you for sharing your skill and love of craft on the internet. It was helpful for me to gain insight as to what’s out there and can be done. Love that the back cushions can be freed too! Didn’t know this was an option!
Thanks so much! I appreciate your kind comments. I’m glad you’re finding some helpful information and inspiration on my website. Those Ethan Allen classic sofas always look so good in a slipcover, especially in a natural denim or canvas.
